YES! Silencers/Suppressors ARE legal!
Silencers(or the more technically correct term suppressors) are becoming one of the most popular and sought after shooting accessories around. A suppressor decreases noise to allow for more comfortable shooting sessions, and also reduces felt recoil. Besides the physical benefits, shooting a suppressed weapon is just plain fun! We deal for two major Suppressor manufacturers; Yankee Hill Machine Co. and Gemtech. Both companies offer excellent rimfire and centerfire suppressor designs, at very competitive price levels. Both Yankee Hill Machine and Gemtech offer titanium construction models in both 5.56mm and .30 caliber, for maximum weight savings.
How do I get a Silencer/Suppressor?
There is a lot of paperwork involved as the silencer/suppressor does have to be registered with the Federal Government. Here are the Steps:1.) Pick out and place order for silencer
2.) Once the silencer arrives you will fill out ATF Form 4 (5320. 4)
3.) Get fingerprinted (FBI will only accept ink copies- NO digital fingerprints)
4.) Get chief law enforcement officer of your jurisdiction to sign off on the Form 4.
5.) Get a set of passport photos
6.) Write $200 check for tax stamp made payable to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
7.) Bring completed Form 4 Fingerprint cards, passport photos, and $200 check for tax stamp and we will send them to ATF
8.) Wait for approval by government( usually takes about 12-16 weeks).
9.) Get approved by ATF
10.) Congratulations! You finally get to have your suppressor!
