If you have an idea of what your perfect rifle should be, we're ready to turn your idea into reality. All of our custom rifles are guaranteed to shoot under 3/4" at 100 yards, and include test targets and load data specifically for your rifle. One of the greatest aids to your skill as a marksman or hunter is supreme confidence in your rifle, and it is our mission to build a rifle worthy of that confidence.

  Our custom rifles can be built on the Howa 1500 or Stiller Predator/TAC series actions. These two action designs have proven to be strong, high quality foundations for your next project. A description of each is listed below.

Howa 1500 

   These actions are available in right hand only, in short or long action(magnum calibers available in long action), stainless or chrome moly steel. The Howa action is a great foundation for an ultralight rifle, with synthetic stocked rifles easily achieving the 6-6.5 pound weight range depending on barrel weight. It also excels as a tactical rifle foundation. Other excellent features of the Howa action include:

Stiller Predator and TAC series actions

  Stiller TAC300 chambered in .338 Edge

    Stiller actions are built in Wylie, TX. They use a Remington 700 footprint for short and long actions, which ensures compatibility with the largest number of stocks and other components out there. The Predator action is designed for hunting use, and can be had left or right handed, single shot or repeater, short or long action. Bolt faces can be had for .223 sized cartridges, standard cartridges, and magnums. The TAC series actions are similar, with the addition of a Black oxide coating to reduce visibility. All actions are Stainless Steel. Other features are as follows:

• Full round back and redesigned loading port for more stiffness
• Black Iron Nitride QPQ bolt coating for smooth travel and corrosion resistance
• External extractor system in all calibers
• Side mounted bolt release
• Compatible with all Remington 700 type aftermarket triggers
• Compatible with Remington 700 front scope bases, 0 and 20 MOA rails also are available

    For shooters looking to build their ultimate long range rifle in .338 Lapua or similar sized cartridges requiring a .588" bolt face, the Predator Xtreme or TAC338  is the perfect choice. These actions incorporate the same feature as the standard size Predator and TAC actions, but are larger in diameter and feature a larger bolt body to accomodate the needs of the Lapua and .378 Weatherby class cartridges.



Barrels:

  Once an action has been decided on for your project, the next step is selecting a barrel. We use and proudly recommend barrel blanks from Krieger, Lilja, Hart, Douglas, Lothar Walther, Rock Creek Barrels, Brux, and E.R. Shaw. Helical fluting is available on Hart and Shaw barrels only. Straight fluting is available on Krieger, Lilja, Hart, and Shaw barrels. All of the listed companies have provided barrel blanks that gave outstanding accuracy and product quality. Some of the companies also offer specialized twist rates and groove profiles to match the shooter's particular needs. Barrel length can be cut to your specifications, and crowned with either a standard or eleven degree recess. Muzzle threading is available for sound suppressor use, as well as Muzzle brakes.

Stocks:

  We know that stock choice varies greatly from individual to individual, so we try to make the widest amount of choices available. Currently, we use stocks from McMillan, Manners Composites, HS Precision, Bell and Carlson, and Accurate Innovations. If you have found a stock type that you like, we will gladly use that stock for your rifle provided that it is available for the type of action requested. We can also build a stock for your rifle in the type of wood and grade of your choosing.

Triggers:
  Your trigger will be installed and set to your desired pull weight, and tested to vary no more or less than one ounce in pull weight over a 10 pull test. We carry Timney and Jewell triggers, and highly recommend both. The Jewell trigger is available for the Stiller actions only; the Timney is available for both the Howa and Stiller. Timney triggers are adjustable for pull weight from 1.5 to 4.5 pounds and are a simple, robust unit that is perfect for most shooters and uses. The Jewell trigger has built a reputation among competition shooters for its consistency and ease of adjustment. It is adjustable for pull weight from 1.5 ounces to 3 pounds.

Rings and Bases:

Your rifle will be topped off with rings and bases of your choosing. We carry and proudly recommend Talley and Warne products. Both companies build extremely good, tough products that are fitting to a high quality rifle.

  Each rifle we build undergoes a barrel break-in procedure in house, so that when you receive your rifle, you are ready to shoot. Because we do shoot each rifle before it leaves, we will gladly mount and zero your optic during break-in. If you do not already have your scope, we carry many major brands including Leupold, Nikon, Carl Zeiss, Sightron, Burris, Bushnell, and Weaver. Scopes can be purchased from us at the same time as the rifle, at very competitive prices.

Pricing:

  Base pricing starts around $1900 for a rifle built on the Howa 1500 action, depending on component choices. Pricing for a build on the Stiller action starts around $2500. When you contact us with the details of what you are looking for, we will work up a quote on a Rifle Build Data Sheet and send it to you via email. Once you approve the specifications and pricing, a 50% deposit will be required to start work, with the balance due upon completion. Current wait time is approximately twenty weeks, although it may be considerably shorter depending on specified components.
